RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION

Our church holds to the theological position that requiring someone to make choices that violate their conscience is against the teachings of the Bible which is the source of our religious beliefs. We believe in the fundamental right and responsibility of every New Testament believer to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

We believe the principle of religious exemption, which is rooted in the long-standing corpus of United States Constitutional law, should be applied to allow for exemptions for any private or public sector employee with a sincerely held religious belief.
